Got a guy on ebay.uk selling a 2 door as a WT. But its obviously a pre-'79 due to the grille and bumpers. I looked in the tech library but it wasn't clear what years 2 door WT were produced. The license plate ends in P, which means it was made and/or registered here in 1975-76.

So is this a WT?

Rear tailgates FUBARed around the hinges and the amount of surface rust means i'm not going near it anyway (been burnt too often by the last three SJ's that looked similar).

The pictures are of a WT Cherokee.

Yea, if the bottom of the gate is showing rust issues, I don't think the tage is really worth trying to patch/save. I have one on my 78 that someone tried that with and it aint pretty.

WT 2 doors were made from 1975-1983.

They should have put brows on the wagoneers and cherokees.

I thought it was 74 when then started to 2 doors?

My reference says that the wide track was first introduced in the 1976 Cherokee Chief and was available across the entire Cherokee line that year. It was also standard on the Laredo model when it was introduced in 1980.

he's talking about the w/t 2 door cherokee. late 75 is when it came around. btw i think its strange that the prototype that was going to be called cherokee was a w/t but evidently amc must have had a preproduction hiccup and released it as a n/t.
