Edelbrock setup question

I am getting a 2131 manifold and a 1406 carb, and was wondering if I can still use the stock air filter housing, or will I need to get a low profile housing?

Mine fits (barely). I have an aluminized insulation sheet glued to the hood, and the air cleaner makes a little bit of a dent in it. Use a straight edge or yard stick across the top of the aircleaner to mark where you cut the threaded rod .

Thanks jeepguzzi, I didn't want to get everything changed over and then find out my air cleaner wouldn't fit!

Mine fits just fine, too. Edelbrock 3731 w/EGR and Carter AFB carb (same as Edelbrock). But I don't have any kind of spacer between the intake manifold and carb, just a gasket.
