Just a little update on my jeep.
First of all what has been happening with my 82 wag (360 w/ 727 auto) is that it keeps stalling when ever i put it in gear. It starts up runs GREAT. Put it in Drive, Low, Reverse, it stalls out. If i pop into gear and gun it It will go. Once it gets going it runs fine, shifts up fine, and shifts down fine. As soon as i drop to about 10 KM/H it stalls. I was talking to a friend who said it could be a crack in a Vacuum line. so i went to check and see if i could find a crack in one of my lines. I pop the hood take off the air filter, and wouldn't you know it. ALL my lines have cracks in them  . My question is, is this a commin site or does my jeep hate me?
and my other question is about soething completly off topic. i have ALOT of suface rust on Old Bernese. After i sand it of does anyone know of a good product to keep it from coming back?

All comments appreaciated.

On a 20 year old rig?...yup pretty common. Those little $0.25-$0.45/ft rubber lines don't last for ever. ;)

It's very common for vaccuum lines to dry up and crack over time.

You'll have to replace it one piece at a time. They don't sell it in precut kits. Go to the parts store, get a variety of sizes and at least 10 feet (3 meters) of each size. Then go one at a time, taking off the old hose and cut the new one to fit. You may want to get a variety of the plastic couplers since they may be brittle and crack. It's time consuming but if you don't do it all now, you'll be patching it little by little for the next several years.
