I'm interested in selling or trading my 1990 Grand Wagoneer. Someone offered PS3 with 80 gig and extras. I feel insulted. FSJs will never be outdated, but PS3 stuffs will eventually fade out and be worth nothing. It's my philosophy that if their stuffs are worth something, then sell it and get cash. Bartering is looking silly sometimes. This is one example.

I know what'cha mean. When I was trying to sell the CJ-7 I made the mistake of adding "or trades". Amazing the junk folks drug out trying to work a trade with.

What does a "PS3 with 80 gig and extras" cost... Insulted or not, its probably more than your broke FSJ is worth...
Just sayin....

I like to Barter.
I traded a Porter cable biscuit jointer for a 4500 watt generater,
then traded that for a 1963 08 Stihl chain saw. Then put a 26" bar on it.
thats what I wanted!!!
Wasn't there a guy a couple years ago that wanted to barter
a giant paper clip for a house? IIRC it took him over a year but he did it.

sometimes barteringis a good thing. i have never done it with a vehicle and never will. i have had my bad experiances. my good ones too. but if its trade i seek its not anyplace near any vehicle. cash only for that. everything else is fair game...

Randomly, I just posted that link in off topic. Pretty interesting. Would have been moreso if he had done it without people having knowledge of his end goal I think.

dadgumit... I hate when I agree with Robert.
A fair deal is when both parties are satisfied OR neither party is satisfied. :D
Just for fun, sell your GW and see if you can generate enough cash to buy a PS3 with 80 gig and extras.

No matter how bad the barter offer is.......you can always say "no".
I personally like to barter, it's a deal between me and one other person - no guv'mint involved.
The value of a item is always determined what someone else will give you for it......

when i was trying to sell my 77 chevy pickup, some kid called and asked if i wanted to trade it for an old AMF Harley golf cart. There was something wrong with it and he said it could be fixed with $100 and that it would be worth a like 3 grand....ok so why dont you fix it and sell it for yourself? A harley golf cart would be cool to have but i have no use for one!
