are add a leafs a quality repair for shot springs, do they hold up a long time and which brand is the best to use on a 87 gw?

no... only a band-aid fix for shot springs... they will sag in time as well..

Rancho full length AAL's are good... don't go with a shorty

Rusty's AAL's are also full length and work well...

I just put a pair of Rough Country aal's on my 82 wag - they're awfully short (I bought 'em w/o getting a length measurement - dah). I haven't driven on them yet - Rough Counrty sent me the wrong u-bolts. The nice thing about short aal's is you dont have to take apart the spring pack, I just put mine between the sping pack and overload spring. $37, free shipping from JC Whitney, but of course you gotta wait to get the correct u-bolts!!
