Info on beadlocks

I ve seen alot of ppl using them and was wondering what they are actually for. I'm still learning about the offroad world.

Beadlocks are a modified/special type of rim that "locks" the edge of the tire rubber to the rim via a bolt on flange. This allows tires to be run at very low pressures to enhance the grip of the rubber. Here are some good pics of them with details.
