how many jeeps does the average owner have? my family used to have 3 FSJ's in the driveway at one time. they sold the cherokee (shich i found and got back). they wags broke down, so we sole the blue wag, and kept the brown parts wag. then i got the cheorkee back, stripped everything i could off of the wag and took it to the crusher.:o between the city comlpaining at me for having it in our yard, and threatening to fine up (like 800 dollars a week)...:banghead:

so, then i found the 76 j10 that i used to have. so personally i have only owned 2 jeeps.

just 1. I'm a one jeep kinda guy. had a 73 wag and 79 wag and 85 grand wag as well as the 76 cherokee. but couldnt handle more then one at a time. so sold them all but the chero. once mine is on the road again then I'll get one for the wife.

1968 J-3000. 327 with 4 barrel, Holley carb, D44 3.54 converted (at least the back is done), M715 fenders, thriftside bed, T18/D20. Project truck that is almost 'done'. Trying to decide whether to keep the D44s or spend the $ on making it 3/4 ton with the HD44 and D60 4.10 geared set I have sitting here..

As of right now... 5.
1. '88 GW that is the continuous project
2. '78 NT Cherokee that I don't know what I am doing with
3. '95 YJ, the only new vehicle I ever bought
4. '97 WJ that my daughter drives
5. '86 XJ that is being sold out West (has been my son's for last 5 yrs)

I could claim that they all run. Not all well, but they do run. Well, technically, the '88 doesn't right this second because I have the heads off of it. And the '78 need the gas tank dropped and cleaned out or replaced and the sock replaced.
The YJ has been like a solid old friend. I can pretty much always count on it when nothing else wants to work, but we both are getting older..

One, my '87 . And only one. I actually had a chance to pick up a running '87 "parts" GW for 400 bucks last week. I figured I'd let my wife know. She didn't really cozy up to the idea of having a GW parked on the side of the garage.

Then she made the point about how the HOA doesn't allow "junked/non-running/yada-yada-yada vehicles in our neighborhood.

Dang. I KNEW we should have waited and bought a couple acres outside of town.:banghead:

Maybe if I build a big wooden fence........

I'm trying to cull the heard. Today I went and dropped off the one I've been working on and wheeling/driving...

The tan one was traded for a rat of a J-10 (good parts..4.10s flat tops a T-18 and 4v carb), the blue one is a bad penny, I keep giving it away and it keeps coming back. I dropped off the tan one and picked up the blue-s. :p It's getting stripped of its engine/trans/t-c and given away again.

We (me and bowtieman55) had to drag the blue one down a narrow trail out of the woods, backwards, on one flat rear tire and onto the trailer with the tan one.

Hannah rode shotgun all day. We had fun!

When I go get the J-10 I will be down to 5 Jeeps.

Then the XJ and MJ get turned into one and I'm giving the 'new' MJ to my brother. That will leave me with 3 FSJs. 1 w/t, one n/t and a J-10.

The J-10 will be my ECI project for this year. :drivin:

I love my Suburban and trailer like one of my kids! :D

ya one day i'll get back to it. i just have to stop myself from working on all my rust buckets. at least i do have it in the shop so it's not rusting away outside waiting on me. but having jeeps is like a full time job keepen them running .

I'm retarted.. My mom who lives with me has a 2005 2wd Liberty.. So we do have a jeep in the family already.. It's good for what it is.. Nothing to exciting except the AC rocks.. :)

1982 Cherokee Laredo, 6cyl, 5 speed, restored to stock, DD and used to haul search and rescue dogs around.

2005 Rubicon Unlimited, 6cyl, 6 speed. 4" RockKrawler long arm lift, 35" MT/Rs and LOTS of other stuff. Still street legal and could be used for a DD, but built for rock crawling in the Sierras. Made all 5 winch hills at Sierra Trek (Fordice Trail) last year without assistance....

Had to sell the 2004 Grand Cherokee Overland to get a Yukon XL - needed something that can carry 8 people, 2 90lb German Shepard Dogs, and tow a trailer.

I'd buy more FSJs, but I have an agreement with the wife that anything I buy will be licensed, running and able to use as a DD (within a reasonable time). No junk cars sitting arount the house........:rolleyes:

Just one.I had a Jeepster Commando but the body was way far gone.Got a decent offer from a guy off the street and sold it.I told the wife that no real man is whole without a project Jeep or musclecar and the truly happy ones have both.So,there is Grand Wagoneer in my garage and hopefully someday a 68 Barracuda notchback to replace the one I had as a youth or other suitable Mopar.The wife insists however that the next project be either a nice family criuiser.(I'm eyeing a 62 Chrysler Newport) or a 30's or 40's pickup for her like her Grandad had but on an S-10 frame so she has modern mechanicals.
