hi -

have been reading & following the stereo upgrade thread (& others) with much interest - you can find it here:

http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=84049

so, after umming & ahhing, i have decided to go with a new pioneer head unit & 4 speakers. i will be keeping the stock head unit as i like the original look & will be concealing the new head unit some place else.....

so the guys around here tell me that they will need to rewire everything to suit the factory cable/wiring/plugs - but i was hoping to do this install myself.

crutchfield dont sell to overseas customers, so i ask, do you feel like buying an adaptor plug for me & sending it to sydney, australia? :o the item itself is like 12 bucks, & i can reimburse you via paypal.

its here -

or, am i going about this all wrong? the guys in stores here dont have a clue about the jeep, radio or adaptors...

any other stereo install advice is welcome!

Sure, PM me to get started. If you buy your CD player from Crutchfield, they'll throw in the mounting and wiring harness, plus you get good support from them (all my home and auto stuff is from them).

And yes, you're going about this the right way, I can't stand when somebody hacks the factory wiring off.
