O.K. I just spent the last five hours putting on what I thought was going to be a 4" Rusty's lift. I bought what I thought to be 4" Rusty's from a board member for a good price. Then I bought the remainder of the parts from Rusty himself. So here's the problem:
Front lift 4"
Rear Lift 1.5"
Looks Dumb.
I did not think Rusty made a stock replacement, but that's what it looks like I have in the rear. The springs come w/ the traditional Rusty's markings.
Did I overlook something?
Did I accidentally get 6" front springs?
What is the easiest(cheapest) way to rectify this?
Please note this is not an accusational string, but I'm a little peeved right now.

Was the lift kit an all-spring type, or do you suppose that it was intended to use a 3" block in back? I'm not sure what else it could be unless they simply just sent the wrong rear springs. It sucks though! Good luck! :(

Let me clarify: I bought the rear from a board member and the front from Rusty. I know, lesson learned. Should'a just bought it all at one time. I consulted Rusty's site it says the front is a 4 pack and the rear is a 6 pack, this is exactly what I have now. So, what gives.

Did all the springs have approx. the same amount of curve in them? My set of Rusty's were all about the same hieght when set up on the floor with the place where the axle attaches up in the air. The rears were longer, but about the same height if I remember correctly.

Yeah they all seemed right on the floor. I had the normal troubles putting them in. The bushing in the front(big end) of the rear springs too wide for the box. One of the set posts was too big on the front

okidoc: hrm...that is very odd. They are 4" springs...unfortunately I never put them on as they did not fit my rig. I am unsure as to what could have happened. They have a good deal of arch in them, compaired to the stock flat springs. And to my knowledge Rusty only makes one rear lift spring set. This is used in the 4" kit and the 6" kit, the 6" kit usses 2" blocks.
Do you have any pictures? I am terribly sorry if they dont work out. I bought the full 4" kit from Rusty as Gwamp did, just to find out the rears wouldent work.

Would 3" Blocks solve this?

Will e looking at your measurements they are similiar to mine. I have 31.5 across the rear up from 30 and 34 across the front from 30. This puts it in the same ball park as your measurements, but it jsut doesn't look right. At least it is level. What is really bugging me is that it lokks like it is setting on it haunches(to me anyway). Did anyone else, experience this type of "unbalance" I haven't driven it yet, and I have to go to work today. I will get pictures out later.
Stuka I gonna try to contact Rusty Mon. see what he says. No worries

The rear fender opening is smaller then the front, which is why it looks like it is sagging most likely. I have a extra 1.5" of lift in the back, so the there is the same clearance in the front and rear fender openings. Although from some angles it looks like a hot rodder with the back jacked up.

I think it is a optical illusion. I thought the same thing when I put mine on, but it is actually a bit taller in the back.

Yeah, mine looks lower in the back. My before and after measurement confirm that I got exactly 4" of lift from the Rusty kit and 1" from the tires.
Even so, I was thinking about putting a 1 or 2 inch block in the back to not only make it look different but to get just a little more clearence out of it. The wags have a decent overhang in the back and if I hit anything wheeling it is either the exhaust pipe or the factory tow bar. One inch might not sound like a lot but....
