I'm running a 750cfm vac.secondary
* #70 primary jets
* #37 squirters
* Blue cam, #2 screw position
* stock secondary spring
Why do you think the secondaries are not opening quick enough?
A trick-kit will include a basic assortment for tuning; highly recommended.

It might be educational to take a tip from Holley's own research. Back in the seventies Holley marketed a manifold/carb combination for 1972-1979 Jeep 304/360/401 engines w/emissions; the part numbers were 300-31Z for the intake manifold and 0-9626 for the carburetor.
The carb was a 4-bbl Type 4160 (vacuum secondaries). Their website has a .pdf file called "Holley Carburetor Numerical Listings" and describes the specs for this carb as follows:
CFM: 600
Renew Kit: 3-1415
Primary & Secondary Needle & Seat: 8-506
Primary Main Jet: 122-612
Secondary Main Jet or Plate: 134-39
Primary Power Valve: 125-206
Primary Discharge Nozzle Size: 0.031"
Secondary Nozzle Size or Spring Color: Black
Primary Bowl Gasket: 108-83-2
Primary Metering Block Gasket: 108-91-2
Secondary Bowl Gasket: 108-90-2
Secondary Metering Block Gasket: 108-90-2
Secondary Metering Plate Gasket: 108-27-2
Venturi Diameter Primary: 1-1/4"
Venturi Diameter Secondary: 1-5/16"
Throttle Bore Diameter Primary: 1-9/16"
Throttle Bore Dimater Secondary: 1-9/16"

I may catch some flak here, my personal opinion is that the best thing you can do with a Holley is remove it! After a couple of years of replacing power valves, constant jet changes etc, I put an Edelbrock Performer carb on my hotrod. That was the BEST carb. Put it on, adjusted curb idle, and never touched it again. The car ran smoother, more power, and less gas than with the Holley. (Again, my personal opinion!)
Holleys are great for wide open throttle, but not very streetable most of the time. :cool:
