Finally got my cherokee back on the road from a tranny rebuild. Was driving home from a friends house last night and heard a new rumbling sound. First thought was bad tranny rebuild...until the rear driveshaft let go.
One of the yolk straps completely snapped off. I have not really looked at it since it was dark last night when it happened. But I was wondering if anyone has drilled out their yolks on an AMC 20 and NP208 so you can use ubolts instead of straps. Is there enough material on there to do it?

TIA,
Chris

Not sure about a AMC20 yoke, but I tried it on a 2 piece Dana 44 yoke, no deal, no way, not enough material there to work with.
