I am trying to remove a dash pad from a 80 wagoneer. I don't have a clue how to remove it with out damaging it. I know there are clips holding it down but I can't get them out. Please help.

ok here is what you have to do. If you are not concerned about the pad, take a long screwdriver and pry up the rubber at the bottom of the winshield from the inside. There are 6 or 8 torx bit bolts. Take these out. Now take your guages out, your glove box and any other switches that are in the way. Now you have to reach under the bottom of the dash and unscrew the nuts that hold the pad to the front of the dash. There is about ten nuts. They are small so you might have to look for them. Now pull off the pad. If you are wanting to save the pad, you must pull the windsheild out off the rig. If I can help please let me know!
