Hi all!

The guys here have convinced me to go for on Board Air and provided me a ton of resources. I'm even considering building a 110 volt version for the shop!

Anyway, I was cleaning up and changing seals on my spare York Compressor and came accross a problem. While the clutch still works 100%, the "seal" is cracking and coming loose. It kind of looks like some kind of epoxy seal.

Do you think I could get away with resealing using a five minute epoxy?

By the way, for those that are interested, I found excellent parts source and on-line service manuals(pdf) for the York Compressor at this site:

Frank,

Not sure if you know it or not, but CCI (your link above) is the company that manufactures the "Yorks" now. They would be the best place to get your question answered I think.

If they just want to sell you a new one, I'd say try it.

Good Luck,

Charly

No I didn't know that, but after searching for a York site for about 30 minutes, I stumbled accross CCI. York only builds monster compressors now.

The PDF manual there is a lot easier to read than the one at the Onboardair site. I thought others might be interested.

Anyway, I'm too impatient to wait to contact CCI so I roughed up the old stuff (whatever it is) and through some fresh epoxy on. Looks good and I don't think I'll have any problems.
