I found one here localy on a wrecked Jeep(rear end smashed), anyway, can get it for $400. So far I can only found a couple of articles and they talk it up. So what can anyone here tell me about this winch? Thanks Dennis
A friend of mine runs one on his xj.
From what I know, they have a longer spool (around 150') and spool faster than the current HS series from Warn.
Here's Warns page...

Hope this helps...

Yep, check the front of the blue Cherokee in the pic on the left. Used it only a few times, great so far.....

That's a good deal on a great winch. They retail over $1000 new. I'd be all over that if it was here in NM.

since i go to mexico at least once a week (and get stuck) i change trucks about every 16 months and every time the winch set up i have wont fit the new rig so i have to get a new winch but i wont go to mexico without one there is no towing in mexico but the army will help if they are around (hummer) i got my first 8274 in 1973 and have never had any problem with one also in the winter here the population goes from 3500 to 1.5 million during the rock show and swap meet and i do mobile auto(rv) repair and use the winch to pull motor homes out of the washes seems beer puts a rv in the wash this year im running a domestic version of ramsey's 8000 ive used it about 2 dozen times pulls good but nothing moves like a 8274
