you mean the buggy with the chevy motor and the rockwells? I see part of an old FSJ dash and part of the rear quarter panel, but that's about all the FSJ I see.

I'd rather see it still looking like an FSJ, but that's me.

Not much Waggy left there...
Interesting however.

I don't mind the motor swaps, or the axle swaps, etc. But I like the body to remain as much as possible. Cutting up a door isn't a huge deal as those can be put back on with a few bolts (I'll keep my hard doors on my J10 for winter, but have some tube doors for spring / summer / fall), but I hate seeing the front end and rear ends cut up. If you cut that much off, whether for clearance or for weight, why not start with a buggy chassis in the first place rather than cutting up another wag? I don't understand that concept, but again, that's just me.

I'd drive that thing to work! No body would get anywhere near you.

they said that thing made it thru the Tank Trap without winching.
I think its cool. Not my type of rig though.

Just to bring you up to speed, Chevies have the distributor in the back & Buicks have them in the front....:D Another clue is the part where it says it is a "455 Buick". :hide:
Gotta hate them chevy motor swaps: '88 Wicked Woody: LT4, 4L60e, 2wd, 22's, Borla, Dakota Digital, hydroboost & discs :D
But seriously, this thing has as much "factory" on it as any of the TTC rigs in years and far more than many. There must be two different links because I see a Waggy that is complete, including the firewall, roof, quarters and floor pan on a frame, not a fabbed chassis. With the exceptions of the doors being unbolted ( very common mod), wheel well trimming ( very common mod ), and the front narrowed at the core support ( not an uncommon mod), this thing is a lot like a real vehicle. D60 fronts and 14B rears never came in FSJ's, either, but you see many of them and the Rocks are just a step off of that, not some exotic portal or custom fabbed axle set. I think the guy should be commended for running such a near-stock rig compared to tube chassis & frames-that-rotate-in-the-middle contraptions you often see there.

You know the election is over. I'm agreeing with incommando more and more!
Most all of TTC entries are heavily modified. Aside from the front being narrowed, it looks more like an FSJ than some FSJ-based buggies I've seen on the 'net.
Hopefully this will bring more exposure to FSJ's and more aftermarket support.

I like the TTC but I don't have any expectations of ever having a rig that overgrown. I like the Real Truck Challenge. These are rigs that I can aspire to without breaking the bank.
I take the TTC for what it is and rate the vehicles accordingly. You're gonna be hard pressed to see a wagoneer in the TTC without major modifications. The bottom line is, our rigs are not meant to run 600hp alcohol motors and 52 inch tractor tires. The wheel wells, axles, T-cases and the entire rig is not designed for these kinds of upgrades without the type of modifcations that you see in TTC. Willies and Bronco's are better at allowing the modifications required to run this type of rig with only minimal body modification.
With all that said, I like the wagoneer and the Willies Wagon

I love the coil springs on top of the square posts, and the big 'ol snorkel tube coming out of the glove box!
All the TTC rigs have gotten insane, nice to see one that started as a waggy.

Yeah, the spring mounts look kind of ghetto, but I am sure the shorter spring makes it much more stable than a long spring would. Plus, with the limited suspension travel, long springs are not really needed...
I am sure that the snorkel is a temp mod done just for the TTC. I would put money that on his home turf, he just runs a normal air cleaner.

If you cant figure out how to fit the cage inside, you prolly should have just built a buggy in the first place?:banghead: :D
