That's right, high steer! Scored a pair of flat top knuckles. Passenger side is heading to the shop to be milled, drilled and tapped. Then I'm goig to have Todd at Desertfab get me highsteer arms and hardware and build me my highsteer. He uses 1.25in .380 wall DOM, machines and taps them for 1 ton TREs. Should be stout when it's done. Yes, I will update as we go. Doing full highsteer, keeping draglink attatched to tie rod, and tie rod knuckle to knuckle. It's going to be pretty!

Nice! What is the shop charging you for the machine and tap? I need to have some done.

To mill drill and tap the one knuckle is 50-60 bucks. To machine and tap the DOM, I'm not sure yet. I'm getting a package deal pretty much.

My buddy Adam already rebuilt my steering box and drilled and tapped it for ram assist. Highsteer first, then ram. Already have that plan in motion!

Yep. Can't afford to swap now. Maybe a year or two when I add a crawl box as well.

Passenger side is milled, drilled and tapped. Cost me an even $50. Gonna have high steer worked on after christmas.

I got my flat tops on. Dropped my jeep at Desertfab and my buddy Todd is going to cut and rotate my inner Cs to correct my crappy caster angle, then he is going to work on my highsteer. He ordered 1 inch spacers and hardware and has the arms ready to go. Can't wait to see how it turns out. This will e the 1st time this jeep has ever been in a shop!

My highsteer is done! It's awesome. Drives better than it did stock. Went with 1" spacers, high steer arms, .313 wall 1.25" DOM machined out for 1 ton tie rod ends, all 1 ton ends. Drag link connects to passenger side tie rod end. Knuckles were cut, rotated and rewelded for better caster. I can't post pics until I get a new hard drive. Mine was fried after a virus got downloaded by my daughter. I'm borrowing a computer, don't want to upload pics here.

It has plenty, angle of pic playing tricks. And the corner of the flat top was cut wierd, unlike a lot of other flat tops. It gets thicker as it threads down too. Really wierd to begin with. He got it drilled with as much material possible.
