No, not mom in laws. Tackled the dual battery/winch wiring project with 64 trav's shop and help today. Don't think I would have gotten it done nor done so well w/o his help and parts assortment. Thanx 64, your project next time.
I cut out the fenderwell a few days ago and welded in a new sheet metal enclosure for the other battery. Today we mounted up the second battery, dual solenoids, dual control switches, and ran 1 ga cable through everything except the grounds which I will have to upgrade soon. All of the joints were soldered in w/ shrink tube around them. I must say 64 keeps some top quality stuff in his shop. Had to rush the job somewhat as I'm leaving to hunt tommorrow. But everything worked as expected, I just need to buy a couple of killer batteries now. What I've got should work for now but not for the long run. At any rate, I hope the only reason to use the winch is to hoist an animal into the trees but we'll see.....

You're entirely welcome, anytime you need to use the shop or anything in it come on over. I hope it works well for you while you're hunting. Let me know when you want to finish the upgrade and we'll get it done. Keep an eye on the weather for me down there.

Sounds like a job well done. Think we could get a pic of the new battery tray. It's location and how u hooked everything up.

I really need to make room for my 4 other mower batteries in there some where........right 64Trvlr? ;)

Thats exactly right, with a few changes you could put the mower batteries in the same spot we put the second one. If I shoot some pics when he gets back from hunting and send them to you. Can you host them? Hows things in SAZ?
