I have a beautiful black dash pad in my j10. no cracks what-so-ever.
even the radio grill is perfect. anyway, someone down the line decided
it would be a good idea to paint the dash pad black. why anyone would
paint a perfect black dash pad black is beyond me, but now I'd like to
get the remaining off.

there is only about 20% of the dash still painted. the harsh sunlight has
dried the paint and it is now mostly gone. but there is still some on the
face (facing the passengers) I'd like to get off.

anyway, any thoughts or ideas? :drivin:

Try some lacquer thinner in an inconspicuous spot first to ensure it doesn't affect the material. Some of the home improvement stores also sell a product to remove graffiti that might work.

there is a spray that is a heavy cleaner/conditioner for prepping the vinyl before you paint it, i would expect it would do a good job of removing the paint too, especially because its mostly gone already.

at any autoparts store look for vinyl paint, and it should be with it.
