I am wondering what to do here I've decided to ask you guys. I want to swap in something with alittle more UMPH. Thinking about a 90's chevy motor tranny and transfer. I would have TBI an overdrive and a transfer with the drop on the driverside. I do fab work so thats not an issue.

Moi? Nope. Still a firm believer that if you own it, you can do whatever you want with it though.

I run an early 90s TBI 350 in my Wrangler. It's not helen wheels, but it's not bad. It is easily as reliable as my wifes 07 caravan tho. Dead of winter or middle of heat wave....hop in, turn the key and go.

That was my '67 J3000 with the Vigilante 327, 25* below in AK a no block heater needed.... never let me down and no swap was required.;)

A swap was DEFINITELY required for me. For some reason AMC thought it would be funny to put a computer controlled carb, a handful or air injection solenoids and 4000ft of vacuum line on the 258 that was in my Wrangler. For an encore they added a Peugot BA10 5spd behind it. Sick and twisted people in Kenosha I tell ya! TBI350 and SM465...only lightyears better than that combo!
