It is common knowledge that GW skid plates rust out badly leaving your fuel tank falling onto the road. Many mechanics recommend scrapping your GW.

I sold the last of the OEM skid plates months ago and have some good solutions for this problem. Scrapyard skid plates are almost all rusted.

1. I have a simple stainless steel skidplate/skidplate that supports the original plate and will not rust. It attaches to the same bolts as the original and is about half the price of the original.

2. I have also reproduced the two tank straps in stainless steel and the triangular bracket in powder coated steel.

3. There is a simple frame patch for the rusted frame under the left rear door.

4. We now have an exact replica of the original plate in 18 gauge steel and completely undercoated.

5. We also have a more complete frame repair kit for that area including one that is curved to fit the curve of the original frame.

THESE PARTS ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE PROTECTION OF YOUR GW.
