So I brought the jeep in, cause of a bad idle and some stalling issues, he told me what I needed to order.

He is doing some other work on the truck for me, and said I could find it online for cheaper then he could get.

Anyway I got it from Napa because mainly I could not find it cheaper heh,
So I taken the old one off it has a 1" metal tube thing coming out from the bottom, however the new one does not, is that something I have to move to the new one?, or does it even matter.

Course I am thinking of this after I have installed the new one, but it was that hard of an installation.

I will get pics soon to see what I mean

There should be nothing to switch over from the old one onto the new one.

Had the same dilema when I bought a new egr for my 401 rebuild. The new egr did not have the sleeve. I had two old egr valves to compare- one had the sleeve and the other looked like it used to but rotted off. So far no problems with the replacement or the gasket. The new egr went on an edelbrock performer manifold as well. Hopefully someone will post with a more informative answer- I'm still curious as well.
