View Full Version : Stock Black Interior in GW and Is This The Manual?
I know... I suck at the search. :(
Did Jeep offer a stock black interior in a late model Grand Wagoneer?
Is this the shop manual I need to bridge the gap between my knowledge and the Haynes manual?

looks to be a factory service manual,so it should cover it all.

First question, Jeep didn't offer a black interior in a Grand Wagoneer. In earlier Wagoneers, yes, but Grand Wagoneers only came with either some form of tan or some form of dark red.
That service manual is for is pre AMC so it should cover info for whatever's left of your '70 Waggy.
Thanks Frank! I'll be on the lookout for the AMC version as well to aid the re-assembly process.
Off to research the viability of turning the maroon plastic trim from my '89 black versus finding a complete tan interior in great shape.

A friend of mine did this, he turned his tan interior black. It turned out REALLY nice, he used a product called SEM Vinyl Dye, once you prep and paint the door panels and dash pad, etc, it does NOT come off, really great stuff.
Thanks for the tip!
I'll have new custom door panels, the dash is going to be padless and a combination of powdercoating and paint, but I need all of the plastic trim bits and pieces for the pillers, around the back windows, headliner, etc.
