Where can I get fuel vent tube and filler hose new? Is this a dealer only part. I have tried all the local parts shops but nothing. Anyone out there got any leads?

IIRC, Grandwagoneers sent me an email a couple months ago with them.

Wow Bob, haven't seen you around in a while! For the tubes, best bet is to have a local muffler shop bend some out of galvanized or stainless tube, then use some small sections of fuel rated hose and clamps to connect them.

I guess I will bend some of my own galvanized or stainless. I actually installed a different tank. Anyway I cannot find the rubber hose (Synthetic stuff taht is rated for fuel) Anywhere. it should be 1 inch and 3/4 inch correct? and where can I get it?

Any competent exhaust shop should be able to make up the major components and I'm sure in the DC area you would have at least one, if not more, industrial hose companies.

BTW: good to see you back on the board.

What you will need to ask for is Tank Truck Hose. Like Tad said, industrial hose supplier. Here we have 4 Star Hose & Supply and Stuart Hose.

Thanks for the re-welcoming. Hence why I am so loyal to this board. Feels great to have the cheers feel where everyone knows your name lol. Thanks for all the responses everyone I tried to track down a place like that in this area. There is only one believe it or not. Washington is a city filled with government buildings and entertainment venues/restaurants but when it comes to industrial type things you are on your own. Baltimore however, has some of these things as it is a port/industrial city. Thankfully I am centrally located to both so that I can go to either city on a need basis. I found a place called american hose and connections that has everything you can think of in Baltimore. When I called they said that giving me the hose I need is a peice of cake. Thanks everyone for the leads. I guess I gotta get out now and go find some stainless steel or galvanized to bend. (I already made the pipe for the filler neck now I just need a long pipe that is about three or four feet to lead up to the vent tube. and also need to go and get the hoses for it)

I've been trying for years to find these hoses, but they have different sized ends and no one makes or will make them.

So I had them made overseas exactly to spec of the originals. I know that they are all starting to go so I made the committment for this production.

They will be in next week and I will start shipping them. They're on my website for ordering at www.grandwagoneers.com (http://www.grandwagoneers.com).

Thanks for the offer but I will have to decline.

I finally found the hoses everyone. The D.C. area is not big on industrial type businesses (I am sure that if I cruised around Baltimore long enough I would find one that had them) There are tons in Baltimore. Many places here focused on industrial type hose but not the kind I would have needed for this application. Anyway I found about three different types of businesses that had the hose I needed. I made the rest out of galvo-steel. I hate having any soft hose and try to eliminate it as much as I can. So now the entire assemble is almost made of hard hose while only a short section is actually soft hose.

Thanks for your help everyone
