I haven't put the Wag in low range for over a year so the other day I thought I would try it but I can't pull the cable to engage low range. I didn't try to pull to hard (didn't want to brake something) any suggestions. Its a 75 360 with QT and low range. I've tried it before and it worked fine, but its been quite a while. Should you put it in low every so often? M.G.

Not a bad idea to run it in low just to keep it lubed...
Is the '75 the cable setup? I would swap in a lever setup if so...
The truck is rolling @ 3-5 mph in neutral when you attempt to shift, right?

Exactly, is there much to putting in the lever? Yes it does have the cable setup. M.G.
My 2 running fsjs, (79 j20 and 76 wag), have to be in neutral with engine off to shift in or out other wise there's this real COOL sound, like...uh...oh yeah gears grinding. mine are lever shift BTW.

I have never looked at the cable type...does it attatch to the dash or the floor? It should be pretty straightforward to swap, may have to dril a hole in the floor for the lever to come thru.

I can engage my lo range by coming to a complete stop, tranny in netral. pull the lever and I'm there... once in a while I have to be at a dead crawl. Coming out of lo... I just slow to 5mph and hit nuetral.. then engage high....

I have the lever under the Driver's seat... I got and extra one if you need it... ;)
