Should drop right in right! The drive train is coming out of a '73 J4700. Does the "spacer" on the trans position the trans & x-case in the same position as it is with my I6, thus allowing me to use the driveshafts I have now?
What will I need? Radiator, exhaust,??? any problems anyone sees?
Thanks,
P.J.

desert_freak,
This may not answer your question but since no one else posted.....
When I swapped a T18 into my scrambler the difference was only 1/4" from where the 304 and 258 mounted the tranny mount. However, this is on a CJ and the only difference was the motor, the tranny and tcase where the same. The motor mounts are in the same place so 1/4" isn't much difference between the I6 and V8. But, I don't know what you currently have compared to the T18/20 combo. I'd assume it a straight swap but you never know until you actually tackle some of these swaps. Go for it and see what happens, get whatcha need while ya go ;)

I believe it is a drop in, but don't quote me on that. I think with the spacer, it lines everything up where it needs to be, and you should be set.
