View Full Version : Engines stuck! HELP!

Help guys!Ok... pulling a 360 from an 86 wag... did all the "obviouse stuff... carb, fuel lines, AC, all pullys, radiator, engine mount bolts and 5 trany bolts... it still will not come out, and we are NOT sure why! Tried pulling it forward but cant without lifting it off the engine mounts, then it seems to bind and catch in the back... Any ideas what we have missed? So CLOSE!!!! Help guys!

You didn't mention the torque converter bolts. It may help if you have a jack under the trans just to releave some pressure.

Try and remove the 6th bolt. Most likely the ALLEN bolt or Bolts is the one(s) you missed. Not sure how you are counting the bolts, starter bolts too? At anyrate it is more than 5 in the belhousing. Allen bolts are 3/8" allen size.

Well, we did take off the starter but NOT any allen bolts on the bell housing... ok, thats what I'll check.
