Well I'm just checking in to see if you guys have any good tips, tricks, or general advise for a guy making his first Z-bar. I'm going to use CJ pivot balls and bushings, as I already have a set. I'll have to make an engine mount bracket, but that's fairly straight forward. As I see it the big trick is getting the Z-bar arms the right length and at the right angles. But I'll take any additional input on the subject. Oh and I have given a hydro setup lots of thought and I decided that it would be a bit more trouble than it's worth for right now. Thanks

Why not just get a bell crank from a FSJ and use it? or take a CJ bell crank and lengthen the shaft...

Well I've thought about that but the arms aren't long enough or in the correct position on the rod. I've also got a Chevy and a few Ford Z-bars laying around and nothing is quite right. I figure that if I have to go through the trouble of stretching and clocking an old existing bar, then what's a few more hours to make one that'll be a little stronger than the stock stuff?
