85' GW to 60's Commando power steering swap???

I met a guy last night who owns a mid to late 60's Commando. He wants to swap in my 1985' GW steering column, components, and power steering into his 60's commando. Has anyone performed this swap? How hard is it? Thanks in advance.

There is no such animal as a late 60s Comanche- do you mean Commando? The comanches were the mid-size pickups based on the XJ cherokees.

Have never heard of anyone trying that swap, or at least, saying it was from a GW. I know that they swap in the Saginaw P/S similar to a CJ. You might want to ask the Jeepster Club Jeepster Club (http://www.off-road.com/jeepster/jeepster.htm)
or a CJ group. The original steering set-up for a late 60's CJ should be almost identical to the Commando. If you can do it in a CJ it should work in a Commando.
