well... here it is... what color would you guys go? going for a full frame-off resto, of course. I'm thinking of going RED again with the black stripes like my fathers... good or bad?
got stuff to do again...

I'd leave it the factory colors. Black and gold is cool!

If you are "restoring" it, you should go with the factory colors
men in black

I won't mention any names, but somebody would be happy if
you painted it RED
I see another poll coming.

Your Fathers Cherokee was very sweet.. Colors were great on it..

a nice deep blue.
I see another poll coming.
I can't stand those guys who can't make their own minds.
I'm fan of the stock color but love a nice bright blue.

THAT needs restoration ?
I like the color it has. Get the buffer out and call it good.
10-25-2008, 09:23 PM
Restoring it? That thing is awesome the way it is!
10-25-2008, 09:49 PM
Not everything needs to be restored. Sometimes a "survivor" is best left alone.

I think the truck and Cherokee should be a matching set... either same colors, or reverse two tone of each other
10-26-2008, 04:37 AM
That stock color is cool, caus' it's got satin black in it!!!
10-26-2008, 07:27 AM
Get the buffer out and call it good.
I think he means me.;) Your rig Dan, but I'd leave those colors as is. Another great score for you. Congrat's.

This is just me, but if I was doing a frame off resto on that, it would be Sunshine Yellow with the indian pattern black and white side & tailgate stripes from TonkaJ200 and go without the big Chief trim. Is this the one with the Borg Warner Quadratrac?
10-26-2008, 08:29 AM
I would keep it the same, that copper color is cool!
10-26-2008, 09:15 AM
Gold and Black, Looks great as is:thumbsup:
10-26-2008, 11:33 AM
Orange and white
Yellow and black

I like the copper and black.
Me too re being a survivor. Original paint is cool.

After seeing your work on the other FSJ's you have done, IT HAS TO BE "RED".

What Flint said, but in Hemi Orange - or whatever AMC called the orange used on Chiefs. Bold and uncommon, just like the truck.
