I'm looking to swap the bench seat in my J-10 for Jeep HIGH BACK buckets but have not seen a bucket seat truck in person. To me they appear very similar to CJ seats. But are they wider or does the seatback fold forward the same way the low-back buckets do? Secondly, does anyone have pics of a truck with the factory high backs from the 80's (or whenever they started offering them) so I could see how they look around the bottom edges. I can get a great deal on a pair of CJ buckets but the entire seat sort of pivots forward on the seat mount brackets and the lower sides of the seat are wide open and not closed out like the FSJ seats I've seen. Also, if anyone has a decent pair of dark tan or spice colored FSJ high-back buckets for sale I'd be interested as long as I can get them to MI for a reasonable $. Thanks! :D

I converted my '84 that had a bench seat to buckets, but they are not the highback but lower buckets from an older FSJ. It is an easy swap, the holes are already there, even for the center armrest. They look like they were factory installed.

My '80 J-20 had wagoneer power seats swapped in it when I bought it. They bolt in perfectly, but I thought they put me a little too close to the steering wheel. I have since swapped in manual seat sliders out of a '81 J-10 honcho with Bestop low back seats. The seat backs are a little lower than I would like, but sliding the seats all the way back gives you more than enought room. For now they will do, but I will probably get a set of high back seats. I plan on using the wagoneer center arm rest brackets to mount a tuffy console on.

Yep...I just sat in a J10 with Waggy seats (with headrests) this weekend and it is cramped. I'm hoping to try a CJ/YJ highback bucket because they're thinner and may move back far enough to keep some legroom.
