Doing TFI upgrade using irbob's site and the plug ends to the dist. cap are much too big. I'm using the hei ends and the only way to make them "snap" onto the dist. cap is by crimping them nearly flat. Is this right or has something changed for the parts listed on irbob's site?

Thanks!

If your using the Accell universal wires that Irbob has listed...you need to use the HEI style connectors that are in the kit. If your not using the right ones..they will not work. Pay special attention when you assemble these wires..if you try to do it fast or half a*&..you will end up buying new wires very quickly. I use NAPA (the best ones they sell..I think they have a couple of different grades) beldens for a 460 Ford F350 4wd..they are a little long but they work very well. Good Luck :D

PS..if you need some spares..I have 7 new Accell universals..the ones on Irbobs site..I'll give em to you for 5 bucks plus shipping if you want em..They are yellow!

You have to use the HEI style ends at the distributor. The older style ends that fit into the distributor towers rather than over them will not work.

The set I used comes with everything you need to do the job correctly. The option is to purchase pre-fabed wires to make the job easy.
