IIRC You can make a panel to fit in the rear corners of the J trucks that a 6x9 will fit in very nicely. For the 6.5 speakers you can mount in the lower area of the doors. With the 6x9s in the corner you an add a small box behind the seat with a pair of 8" subs to get some bump in your rump. :D

im actually gonna throw my 12" sub between the bucket seats i installed. itll double as an arm rest and place to mount cup holders or some sort of center console. that's what i did in my ol' chevy luv. worked out pretty good. thing im most worried about is the sound i will recieve. i know if not done right the sound quality and volume can be diminished.

In a single cab truck it's kinda hard to get the same sound expansion you get from a SUV or similar vehicle. Either a 5 channel amp or a four channel with a seperate sub amp will be the way to go. Also, the outputs of the radio make a big difference. If you have one with front/rear/sub outputs you can better tune your system.

not exactly sure what my deck has goin on. never looked into it to much far as i know its the clip in wiring harness with power, left front, left rear, ect and the pre-amp connections. im hoping the bucket seats will help with how audible it is, because in my lil pickup and full size chevy they were always mounted behind the bench seat. buckets deffinaltey open up the space in there.

I bought this Sony 6 channel amp because it didn't require additional crossovers, and I had no place to mount them in Scrambler.
It just doesn't have enough power to run the pair:
Keeps clipping out just when U start to get into the groove after tossing back few cold ones.
Pairs:
4" in upper dash
5.1/4" in metal dash
6 1/2 in doors
6x9 behind seats
10" under seats.
I've been looking for a replacement amp that has some serious power.
I used to use nothing but Zapco but all they have are 5 channel.
I know seperate amps and seperate crossovers are the best way to go, but just don't have the room.
Sorta lost touch with high preformance stero makers, and wondering who's making the best amps nowdays.

While taking the Cherokee apart I noticed the room in the dash to add speakers. In the center you could add a 4x6 center channel and on the passenger side you could install a 6 inch sub for front mid bass.
