From what I read on here and from what people have told me is that it's rare for the rear window in these to actually work. After messing around with fuses my dash switch started working (I don't know what fuses go where since the names have long since worn off)
I am wondering how fast the motor is supposed to work since mine goes pretty slowly up and down but it tends to get stuck with about 1"-2" from the top (If i'm rolling it down I have to get out and push the window down a bit and it goes all the way down with no issues, if I am rolling it up I have to have someone hold the switch up and go and push the window up) I dunno if it gets off the track somehow or if it needs a new motor

The motor gets old and draw more amps, the wiring and switch gets old and corroded and creates more resistance. The two working together make the window go slow.
Also be aware that the key switch on the back may stick in the up position if you don't give it a 'bump' down after you have rolled it all the way up. I have come out the next day to a dead battery twice because of it.

I don't think the key switch works since I messed around with that and all 3 of the keys I have don't turn it at all. The wiring is all new in the jeep so it's probably the motor

I hear the safety switch dying is very common, and that was the case with mine. Also, the rubber track channels harden up or rip with age, causing the window to bind up or move slow. The motor rarely dies compared to the rest of the electrical. The motor doesnt move that fast and it has just enough power to raise and lower a window that moves smoothly.

The wiring is all less than 3 years old so I am thinking it be a issue with it staying on track properly. I don't think the key switch works but I will "bump" the window down just to make sure I don't come out to another dead battery

I would take the cover off the inside of the tailgate and look at all the moving parts. They will start to wear out and you end up with a lot of metal on metal moving. I doubt it is the safety switch, when that goes the window won't work at all.

Probably the side trac parts need replaced. (I got a pair from B.J.'s). One thing that might make it go slow is also the slots that the linkage bars at the bottom of the window travel in. This is probably why you need to push on the window to help it move. Take off the inside access panel and lube them up. Next, check your tailgate door alignment. If it is a bit off, it may not be lining the window up with the felt channel the window goes into when fully raised.

I feel very fortunate that I have two Wagoneers and both have all working power windows. including the rear window.
