you know what i mean, i got a 1978 cherokee.. slowly coming back to life..seems to shake at times when i idle after going at high speeds..'its a 3 speed' i thought it could be the timing being off. so i got the manual and it said to set the rpms at 200 and the timing at zero.. how might i know how many rpms i'm doing? me and my friend messed around with the distrupotor and still couldnt find a good sounding spot.. she would 'choke' or cough when i decelerate..

Just got a tach (taco) installed in mine. Only 4 wires to hook up white/illumanation, red/ignition, black/ground, and the tricky one green/pulsing side of coil which is suppose to be negative but mine was positive. Oh yeah Welcome Aboard!
