I met a buddy in St. Louis last night for the Cards/Diamondbacks game and we drove from his house to the ballpark in his '88 Grand Wagoneer which is in mint cosmetic condition.

I had forgotten how freakin' awesome these things are on the road... we got a bunch of  from passing vehicles on the highway, a couple girls in an import took a photo as we were sitting in traffic, every other person who walked by in the parking garage had something nice to say about the Waggy.

It was definitely the boost I needed to re-energize my efforts on the Super Chief.

driving the Waggy reminds me of the '84 Caprice Classic i bought from my mom. rides like you're sitting on a big ol' mushy pillow. :D

Amen Krek!

Its funny how many expensive SUV owners check out our rigs. A few days ago in traffic a brand new, black, Land Rover drove by me. The driver's head was sticking out eyeballing my '87. My fiance thought we were on fire :D

Hey. Krek... who was your bud.. a lister? If so, maybe next time we have a gettogether in St Louis you guys can come out! just 3 or 4 of us getting together for an evening meal or something.

Additionally, I know how you feel with your ride... I towed a J10 on a trailer from Wichita to Springfield MO with my Bright Red 86 Wag and got a lot of stares and pantomimed comments!

Have a great week,

Jesse

ALways a laid back, enjoyable time!

Have a great weekend,

Jesse

You don't get to say that very often in September, huh? :p

The Cards did win, beat Randy Johnson with a three run homer in the first inning... weather was nice... Waggy was awesome...

My buddy is a lurker on this Board I think. I'll keep my eyes open for a St. Louis meet & greet. :)

Krek...I totally agree on the Wagoneer attention getting thing in St. Louis. I think I ran into the same picture taking import. Anyway, if you have a get together in St. Louis give me a call. It's been a while but J10Mike, Jesse, Del and myself have all met for dinner.

I can't count how many vehicle I have played with threw the years. I totally agree, I have had more people stop me and make comments on my Wag, over any other vehicle I have owned., 93 SAS 4runner on 33's, 75 Scout, with a 440 and 37's, a SOA Sami, with 33's ( my second favorite), a CJ on 35's, a 69 Roadrunner, a 75 Dart w/ a tri power 360. a ton of cool toys. I love my Wag
