motor question??

On a 360 intake there is a hole in the back of the intake(by what I think is the egr valve)what is it for and can I plug it?? :confused: :confused: Thanks

The hole that goes thru the intake and into the lifter/cam valley? That is where you put a rubber grommet and the PCV valve goes. Don't see a lot of those on stock intakes as the PCV is in a hose off the carb. All aftermarket intakes have the PCV in the intake itself.

AMX is correct: that hole's not on a stock piece. My Edel's got a 3-way PCV gizmo there. --Brent

Correction: AMC used a hole like that in the intake with a grommet up until '78. '79 and up, they used a metal pipe, plus the "S"-tube and the PCV valve near the carb.
