OK this is kind of off topic and kind of not. So I got the motor mounted up yesterday in the old M, it's a Ferd 352 FE block. So anyway I mounted up the headers and they're super close to the starter. So close in fact that the collector flange can't spin 360*. So the logical step is a mini starter, but they're a bit out of the budget right now. So naturally I turned to E-bay and found some affordable mini starters($130 vs. 250). But, as usual, I've never heard of the brand and neither has Google. Since they seem to make starters for everything, AMCs, Chevys, Fords, etc. I was wondering if any of you guys had ever heard anything about them. They're labeled "Xtreme Output" and look like Delco style bodies. Here's a link to E-bay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-FE-390-427-428Hitachi-style-Hi-Torque-Mini-Starter_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33576QQihZ013QQ itemZ230291425128QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Any good info on these would be appreciated. Thanks

I am guessing that's the AutoElec guy. I have one of his starters for my 327 and love it. I think by now a few other guys have it. He is nice to talk too on the phone and very helpful.

google Wagoneer gear reduction starter and you should be able to find his webpage.

It may not be the same guy, or the purple label bit is new. He is in MI though.

it may be a different guy on Ebay..towns are different. All I can vouch for is the autoelec one.
