I'm pretty sure I posted this before but I don't have any subscribed posts now...?

I'm thinking about putting the drivetrain from my bodyless wrecked Blazer in a Wagon.

Fuel injcted 350, TH400, NP205, D60, 14ff, 38" or 44" tires.

Any examples of similar rigs or thoughts on it?

Heres mine:

First time I built it, 350/th350/np205/d44/14ff/38s/39.5s

Second time I built it, tbi 454/th400/np205/d60/14ff/35s

Lol I know, why go smaller tires with bigger stuff? It worked really well!

Sounds like a good start...donor vehicles are great to have for Waggy projects. Beware, the 205 will have not-so-low gearing in low, so the axles will need to have really low gears or you'll need to run a doubler or different tcase for tires that big. Or you could get the Low Max gears for the 205 from JB Conversions. Just some thoughts.

Build that puppy up and keep us updated! We'll help where we can and would like to see the progress, for sure.

Ford stuff fits too, started out with a 360/727 and d60s. Now it has multiport injected 393w/C6/203-205/4.10s/D60s/38s etc. Here is some pics of the Rubicon 08.

Pulled the upper and lower out of their sockets and caused the inner/outer/u-joint failure.

Bump.

Which years were narrow/wide? Didn't the body stay the same and only the flares change? I want the sheetmetal as narrow as possible. Will it matter for me? How about axle pad widths?

Thanks

yes, all FSJ bodys are the same width except the flares on the widetrack cherokees and J10/20/2000/3000 trucks

all Wagoneers were narrow-track with narrow fenders

the Widetrack option was available in the Cherokees from '74-83, the entire production run. But many were narrow-track also. Easy to spot. All J-trucks had the widetrack flares

wether you have narrow or wide fenders, they're easy to cut

Runnin AMC 360 propane with a np 435 and a 203/205 doubler with lomax and dD60'S with 44" boggers in the back and tsl's in the front. front SOA with Bj's 1" shackles and 8 inch rear springs. and I had ro cut the crap out of the fenders to fit the 44"s.

Keep in mind that putting 40's in a wagon is not the same as putting them on a Chero. You will need more lift or more fender cutting.

Axles from an 81 dodge 3/4 ton, stock t400, quadratrac, amc 360 with tbi conversion. Soa front with 1" shackle, shackle flip rear, 3" body lift, and liberal trimming to clear the 42" Iroks.

Hey David,
Where ya getting your waggie from? I know Ted was selling his a while ago. Not sure if he sold it or not. Also, if you need help on the weekends and stuff, let me know. I would love to learn to do some of this stuff. Godd to see ya on here.

I have an 85 grand wagoneer. It has an amc 360 with Holley truck avenger, offenhauser, comps cam, dog thorleys. NP435, np205, Front dana 60 out of f350, and rear sterling 10.25. I did a spring over and shackle flip rear. I trimmed the fenders to fit 35's.

I have an '82 Cherokee that I'm putting a cadillac 500 w/propane into, BOP400, NP205, 2.5 ton rockwells and 44's. The rear will be getting a wishbone suspension, while the front is undecided--leaf's or 4 link.
