I am looking to get some Black Steel Wheels for the GW. Looking for recommendations and photos of those with them on all ready. After this I will be looking at putting the wood back on and maybe a cheap Maaco paint job.

Thanks Sean

Mine came with the Wagoneer. They are 15x10. Personally I like a bright, shiny wheel. Will probably go with the Mickey Thompson IIs. Here is a pic. I prob have 3-4" lift running 33". Going up 6" shortly. Mike

Mike why are you going to a 6 inch lift? Do the 33's rub with only 4 inches?

Are you looking to get rid of the wheels anytime soon? I do like the look of black steelies.

Trendkiller, The tires rub in an uneven parking lot! The PO said it had some add-a-leaf lift but he didnt know how much. I would say probably 3" when I compare mine to a rig with a true 4" leaf spring lift. I will sell the wheels, but need to get new ones first.....saving cash for lift and wheels! Things are a lot tighter for me now compared to a year or so ago( I'm probably not alone). I wouldnt have blinked -- lift, wheels, safari rack, roll cage.....I would have pulled the trigger on all of it within the first week of getting the Jeep!! Waiting SUCKS!! Ha HA !!!

Yeah bills, wife, kids, jeep, hunting, fishing, camping, Etc. The pecking order sucks! I was wondering about the tires. 33's as they would be my ideal size and I am new to the FSJ thing so if they rub I will take that into consideration. It will all go to one badGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley 4 door 4X before it is over.:fsj:

Adam17, your Wagoneer has a great stance and tire clearance looks good. What lift and what size tires are you running?

To get 33's under a Waggy you have to lift at least 6" *and* trim the fenders.

4in Rusty's Lift with 31in Mud Dawgs stock rims. Buddy of mine has a 6in Pro Comp Lift 33 BFG MTAs on stock Rims It looks good also.

As you said 6 in lift , just no fender triming. No rubbing issues.

Adam17 - are you saying it doesn't rub off-road? Do you disconnect the swaybar? My brother's rubbed pretty bad with 12.5 wide tires on 10" wheels before he trimmed.

The 7" factory rims probably narrow the 33x12.5 tires enough to eliminate or reduce rubbing. It probably causes the center of the tread to wear faster than the edges too.

Not my Jeep it's my buddys he has only had it for about a week. It does have sway bar disconnects. When we went wheeling it did not seem to rub but we are not as hardcore as some may be. Only Mud, sand and water crossings where we live.

Here is the best shot of the wheels that I have (they are now on the J10).

This is an NT cherokee with a 6" lift and 34's on 8" wheels. Even with trimming, they are VERY close to rubbing. 33's were close as well (with trimming).
