Had someone out test driving my 89GW this weekend and he seamed interested. She pulled up (while he was gone out on the test drive) with some tears in her eye's cause she thought the Waggy was gone. So me being the manly man who bends and breaks when my wife turns on the water works said we would keep it since I just sold the 90GW.
What the hell was I thinking?
List of things to do
Replace power steering pump and registration sticker on Friday so she can start driving it again.
Future Plans. Repair leaking Rear Main Seal.
Replace interior front seats, headliner and carpet
Repaint exterior.

Not much to make this a really nice stock unit but what the hell was I thinking.

I do not post much because they made this a no-no at work. Not much time at home to get on the computer because of the kids.
Just needed to say I am happy about our decision.:dancingbanana:

We had traded our 90 in on an 03 Grand Cherokee for my wife- she hated the 03 so I tracked down the 90 and repurchased it...although it had a broken crank by the time I got to it.:( So we sold the 03, and now I'm rebuilding the 90. We bought a new 08 JK for a DD, she still only wants the Grand Waggy! Love that woman!:D

My wife would like to see me get rid of all but 2 of the following: 3 Jtrucks, 1 ton Chev (although she sort of likes it, it's a gas hog 454 and not 4x4), '71 IH 5ton flatbed (big enough to drive an FSJ onto. Even a J limo), '79 DJ (ice cream truck with Audi/VW 2.0L motor I was going to swap out for a Porsche 924 turbo version), 2 Comanches, a '68 IH Travelall and the '82 AMC Spirit daily driver.

All are out in Seattle. ;)

My husband always tries to sell our projects half done. So I have to stop him. I talk him out of it and in this family the FSJ is mine not his.:D :drivin:

I let my girlfriend drive mine while I tracked down a transmission for her Honda. After I got her car put together, she wants me to find a FSJ for her...as long as I "help" fix it up.

That is just the start of the never ending list :banghead: and if you ask my wife she will tell you it is her wagoneer. I told her I would drive it and she could drive the truck. She told me in no uncertain terms that she will be driving the waggy.

Since my GF is the one who got me into the FSJs, I am thinking she gets the next one.

She wants a GW to restore. Good thing she knows how to wrench. Hell, we spent most of last weekend rebuilding the head on her 88 Comanche. (widdleJeep) she calls it "Ghosty"! I think she calls it that because it's dead more than it's alive. She likes it because she can get into it easier than any of our other four jeeps. (She's 5'0")

It's funny watching her climb into her 89 Cherokee (6" lift), or my stock height Kaiser that sits taller at the rockers than her Cherokee. :D

The one running FSJ that we have is my wife's DD. There is no way we could sell it.

Yeah um....that was GW Fisherman's side of the story.
Her side of it is that she came home and HE was crying, and she folded and said he could keep it since it means so much to him. :D

Ummmmmmm cough cough, no no that was tears of joy, yah that was it tears of joy:D

Just picked up the new registration this morning so now it is all legal. Advanced Auto had to ship in the power stearing pump so I get to install that tomorrow and do a general detail on it. Now I get to go replace the starter in the ranger and install new struts in the corolla so one of our kids can start driving that. Man insurance on a kid is outrageous and we have twin 17yr olds:eek:. Think I should just open up POP's GARAGE as I wrench on something all the time it seems like, you think I would be used to it.

Kids have no interest in turning wrenches no matter how hard I try to get their help. My 9yr old son is a good little grease monkey though.
