I was about to mix up a batch of ND 30 weight and some limited slip additive and I turned the Sta-Lube Equatorque package over and it says right on the back: NOT FOR USE in AMC Jeeps with QUadratrac. What's up with this? What other brand is OK?

DON'T DO THIS!!!!! I RAN 30 ND AND GM POSI-LUBE...IN MY 78 CJ7 WITH.... THE QT...FOR ABOUT 2-3 YEARS...I JUST HAD A FLASH BACK...WITH YOUR POST....I KNEW IT WAS THE 30-W...BUT I COULD NOT REMEMBER WHAT THE OTHER LUBE I STUCK IN HER  BUT THE WHAT TO WHAT...I HAVE NO IDEA!!! I'M NOT TELLING YOU TO DO IT...I'M JUST TELLING YOU WHAT I DID!!!...... ..WORKED FOR ME!!!!!...IN FACT THE GM LUBE I GOT AT NAPA!!! NOW THAT WAS 12 YEARS A GO!!!...THE OLD GUY AT NAPA SAID WHY PAY 7.00 BUCKS...USE THIS!!!!  smile.gif
What I know will work is the GM stuff as Gary said. Last bottle I bought was I think labled GM LSD Friction Modifier Concentrate or something to that effect. And yeah it is avail at NAPA and other parts stores.
Or look around though the pre-mix QT Secret Sauce is avail. If you can wait for shipping time BJ's has it the cheapest I've seen a $6/qt.
