Air Conditioning

I recently had my A/C recharged with R-134a. The day it was charged, it worked great, but it stopped working the day after that. I dont think it was properly changed over from R-12. The Compressor still turns on, but no cold air. Does anyone know how to properly convert an R-12 system?

I would imagine that you had it recharged with R-134a because the R-12 leaked out. I would also imagine that whoever did the recharge did not find the leak that caused you to lose your R-12, so you are now low on R-134a.

Take it back and have them do it right.

the compressor needs pressure to turn on. it wouldn't engage the clutch if it were empty completely, but take it back anyways
