I know this isnt a favored way to do it but I have a set of 2in blocks and need about 2 inches of clearence so for now im hoping it will work, but my question is, if i put 2 inch blocks on top of my 6in springs am i going to have to lengthen my drive shaft? will i have any problems?

thanks in advanced

Did your 6" lift springs include a tapered block to correct pinion angle?
(in a kit form it would have been attached to the rear spring packs)

8" usually means some drive line mod's.
I do not see the year of your rig listed but it usually works like this.
Rear = lengthen drive shaft while maintaining pinion angle (or upgrade rear shaft to hi-angle when changing pinion angle)
Front = I can't answer since you gave us no info to go on (SOA, 6" spring + AAL) we need a bit more info.

Sorry about that its going on a 91 Grand Wagoneer, ive got the BJs Kit installed and im 90% sure its got the wedges to correct the pinion angle, as for the front, ive got the same 6in lift and am thinking of mabey putting my extended shackels back on to level it out

Thanks Ben

Ok, I get it.
I'd be willing to say you are probably close to maxed out right now and another 2" will mean some drive shaft mod's, but I'm not there looking at it.

From where it sits now you can can an idea.
Mark where the two sections come together, then disconnect one end and see how much spline contact you actually have.
You will not lose a full two inches, maybe 1/2 that?
I don't really know how to calculate that without being there and measuring.
