I removed an old gas tank full of varnished gas recently. Is there a place that will take it or is there a product that will neutralize it? I don't think my garbage disposal likes that type of fluid. :(

We pour it into old gas cans and use a little bit of it to start our bon fires every night

Most communities have a hazardous waste disposal program. If you can't find any info online, call the local fire house or city hall and ask.

Cool. I'll ask the local F.D. I'd still like to burn it though.:bluelaugh: Fire! Fire! Fire! Heh Heh Heh

Pour over old tires, add fire and marshmellows. Enjoy.

I've used it as parts cleaner. Just gotta remember it's still flammable though.

X2 - equal parts old gas and turpentine works wonders on grease caked parts...I don't have a parts washer yet so I use a 5 gallon bucket with a lid and just slosh it around.

I just added about a gallon to each tank of gas and burn it up that way. Why waste the gas when you can use it.

THERE IS NOTHING MORE DISGUSTING THAN THE SMELL OF OLD FUEL.
I USE IT TO KILL WEEDS.

Get in touch with Piney Mike, the company that he works for in in the HazMat business. He can probably take care of it for you.

I've been doing that, scraped quite a few cars over the summer, and have to pull tanks to get full scale price, the oldest was from stuff not licenced since 04.
