I've seen these things before, but until now, I never realized how much the front of the nose looks like the Commando front end!

I love all those Asian countries that got rights to the old Jeeps and are making modern versions. I wonder if we could convince Kia to sell a civvy model in the US? I hate to say it, but I'd own that Kia.

That's the ONLY Kia I'd consider owning.

Which coporations have rights to produce jeeps? I know someone still produces CJs overseas.

FSJ guy, my thoughts too, the front looks like a 70s camando. I like the wheels and the bed!

Did anyone else think that a M715 had been "Killed In Action" instead of a Kia?

I guess I should have worded my question more clearly. I was referring to the title of the tread. When I see KIA, I think Killed In Action. When I see Kia I think crappy South Korean car. But, yes, once you open the thread it becomes clear.

Yup.

I knew about the India & Argentina versions; this is the first I've heard of Kia building them.

I thought the same thing about being "KIA" when I saw the title... LOL

Anyway heres some more info on Kia's millitary stuff:

Wonder who much of a PITA it would be to get one shipped here from South Korea??? Or do they only come from the North?

I actually saw a good many J-10/20's in Afghanistan. Most of them were burned out hulks but there were still a few of them still running around. Take a look at this video of the Russians ambushing the mujaheddin in the 80's and what their ride of choice was. :D

I saw one KM450 cargo truck in Subic yesterday, Philippine army, looks good. From local discussion (4x4ph.com) I understand that the price tag is to high for civilian market.

You don't mess with the Spetsnaz they are bad hombre's. Not even a J truck can withstand their might.
