It seems there is a pin hole or crack in the gas line at the frame rail. Safety wise, is my only option to replace the entire line or can I splice or something?

The easy way is to cut out the section, bubble the ends, and splice in a piece of rubber fuel hose.

Would that pass inspection in your state? Figure CA has to be more harsh than MO.

No safety inspection in Kali. Amazing that you can drive anything that will go down the road....as long as it passes smog.
You can replace the line pretty easy. Just get some brake line tubing the correct diameter and bend it to fit. There are some pretty tight kinks in the front half of that line, so you will probably have to use a tubing bender to get it done.

there are no vehicle safety inspections in CA, but with some of the garbage on the road out here, there should be.
I can't see any reason why it wouldn't pass, as long as the ends of the cut tubing are bubbled and it's not running near an exhaust pipe or somewhere it will get cut. I have short rubber hoses going from the framerails to the fuel pump and tank, and that's stock.

Sounds safer than a leak smile.gif . Thanks for the help, I'll cut, flare and hose it first and next time I drop the tank replace the line.
