My wipers dont stop at the right place, tehy stop when you turn them off, where ever that might be.
I have to check and turn them off when they are down in place?
And when I have them in intermittent position, they go a bit up, stop, go a litte bit further and stop then they might go on like this?

Please help me with these problem.

I have a similar problem......my twist on it is that my low speed quit working.....intermittent okay, high okay. Every once in awhile low works. I'm thinking that the column switch is buying the farm slowly......I don't think it's the motor...but I have not checked.

I've seen that b4 and my guess is a week motor and/or lubrication needed on the control links.

Yep, had this problem 2 or 3 years ago myself. First I thought it was the switch so I replaced it but it didn't help. Then I changed the motor and voila, it's worked fine ever since.

Installing the motor is only a small pain: the bolts are accessible from under the hood but the motor is installed from under the dash. I got my motor from a newer doner rig at the scrap yard.

good luck

I have the same problem Basher.
I wonder if there is a relay in the motor for the intermiten opperation, as i dont see one in my '83 wiring schematics?? Other wise, how would the motor know to work intermitently??
Also, my switch is loose in its hole, and i havent been able to tighten it (my own lazyness)I wonder if that might be the problem??

I have the same problem and the Haynes repair manual lists a solution. Unfortunately, I don't have the manual with me but, as close as I can remember, they recommend testing the wiper motor at the connection with a Volt/Ohm meter. There is some sort of internal relay in the motor that fails. If this is the case, they recommend replacing the motor. I'm not sure if the motor can be rebuilt, but new ones aren't that expensive. Good luck!
