I DID IT!!!!!!!!
After much fiddling, I was able to bleed the brakes on my J-20. If you ever have the situation where you drain the entire system, like replacing all the rusted steel lines, you must bleed the rear first. If you do the front first, there is not sufficient master cylinder piston travel too bleed the rear. I had to connect the bleeder tube form the master into the cylinder, then connect the rear steel line. I was then able to bleed the rear system. I then reconnected the front steel line, and I was done. Can't explain it be it worked and I thankful.
