About a month ago my carb started acting up after never having any previous problems. On cold start, the choke will set,but the high idle has quit coming on. It'll just flood out unless you stay in it at about half throttle til the choke opens. What do I need to look at?? I now have a plug fouled, but I need to fix the carb before replacing plugs. Thanks for any help!

Sounds like a good time to convert to a Edelbrock.

I'm using Dynomax - sounds good, not as loud as Flowmaster

On my last CJ, I had a built 360 with headers, glass-packs exiting on either side just in front of the rear wheels... Ricers hated me smile.gif

I'd clean and slightly lube the high idle cam linkage behind and above where the choke is. It sounds like that linkage is stuck not allowing the high idle to function.

Thanks for the replies! I got out tonight and gave the linkage a good cleaning. That really seemed to help...big test will be in the morning on a cold start. Thanks again!
