Sorry to ask a question that has been covered many times but I cant seem to find anything that is close enough to my situation to use.
The question is thorley headers or the manifold match?
Here's the info
89 GW, 35" m/t, 3.73 gears,
building a 401
9:1 compression, performer intake, 750 CFM truck Avenger, ported dog leg heads, mild cam, hopeing for about 400 horse, 450 torque.
Going to have a single 3" exhaust through a flowmster 40 series, no emissions
Primarily a daily driver, but I like to do everything offroad. mud, trails, hills.
I need good low end torque but i dont want a very restrictive system.
I know manifolds make great torque but I am worried about wether or not they can flow well enough for this motor.
